If You Die Today…

 

Do you know where you will go?

 

You Might Die Today

 

It’s a fact.

 

If you die today, where will you go? Have you ever given it any thought? I mean, have you ever taken the time to sit down, and really think about it? After all, you really could die today. And maybe, just maybe, you will die today. What will become of you?

 

Well, one thing is certain: you will die - eventually. With that thought in mind, I wonder if you think that perhaps your life is just important enough to take some time and find out what awaits you. Maybe you think that when you die, that’s it – game over. But I’m willing to bet that deep down, in your heart of hearts, you really aren’t so sure.

 

Between you and me, I think your life – the only life you have – is well worth taking a few minutes to begin looking into the hereafter. To that end, I have written this for you. So please indulge me, give me a few minutes of your precious time, and read this. Don’t you think your eternal welfare is worth taking just a few short minutes to read this short text?

 

Maybe you’ve noticed that the people who generally call themselves ‘Christians’ talk about ‘Jesus’? Do you wonder why they tell you that you ‘need’ Him? Then read on. If you are an atheist or an agnostic, I suggest you skip this part for now, and skip ahead by clicking here. Then come back later and read the full text.

 

Let’s Cut To The Chase

 

When you die, you will go to one of two places – heaven or hell. There are no other options. Maybe you think you’ll be reincarnated and come back as a fish or something. But you won’t. You will go to heaven, or you will go to hell. Where you go will be determined by one very simple thing – by whether you trusted Jesus Christ to save you from your sins.

 

“What? Sins? You’ve got to be kidding! Who are you to call me a ‘sinner’? What are you, some kind of right-wing, Christian, fundamentalist nut ball?! Give me a break!!! You’re wasting your time!”

 

Well, maybe you feel that way, but on the other hand, what if I’m right? What if there really is a place called ‘hell’? What if you really might end up there when your life is over? And, most of all, what if there really is something you can do to prevent that from happening?

 

Yes – What If?

 

Now, maybe God is not a part of your life. Maybe God’s name is just something you use to curse with when you hit your thumb with a hammer, or when you’re angry, or want to show how much of a big man you are when you talk with your friends. And maybe you think that God will let you into heaven when you die because you have lived a ‘good enough’ life. You are the type who says, “I’ve never done anything that bad. I try to live a good life. I do good deeds. I see no reason for God to turn me away from heaven when I die.” You are for the most part unaware of God’s laws. Perhaps you are entirely unaware of them. You are unaware of the fact that you stand unclean before a holy God, who cannot and will not permit any unclean thing into heaven.

Some others who read this are perhaps very aware indeed of God’s holy laws, and of your impure and unclean state, but are wearing yourself out trying very hard to earn salvation by attempting to keep God’s commandments. You are the ones who have no assurance of salvation, but struggle in a vain effort to succeed in living a perfect life, which you believe you must live in order to receive eternal life. You probably belong to some extremely legalistic ‘Christian’ denomination (which probably should not be called ‘Christian’), or to a cult. Typically, with such religions comes a belief that you must also belong to a particular denomination, or falsely so-called ‘true’ church, which you are taught to believe is the one you happen to belong to.

 

If what you have read above describes you, then know this, know that you are trapped in a false system of works-based ‘salvation’. You wrongly believe that you can somehow get to heaven by your own efforts. Nevertheless, if I were to ask you (you who will probably claim that you belong to the only true ‘church’ or order of religion, whatever it may be) if you are saved; if I were to ask you if, should you die just now, would you go to heaven, you could at best only tell me that you ‘hope’ so. Your lot is one of hopelessness, for you are trapped (and deep in your heart, you feel trapped, though you would never admit it to me, for, to you, that is too scary a prospect to consider) in a system that does not allow you to trust the saving grace of Jesus Christ for the assurance of salvation.

 

So, whether you are not particularly concerned about the hereafter, or are one of those who already know that you need to do something to find some sort of assurance about where you will go after you die, read on. I have some very good news for you.

 

What You Aren’t Being Told

 

Many churches today will tell you that there is a God shaped hole or vacuum inside you, which only God can fill. This is true. And they tell you that God loves you. This also is true, and is very, very important. However, more and more these days, they stop short of telling you that because of sin, you stand guilty before a holy God, who cannot permit any unclean thing into heaven. My friend, this means YOU! They avoid telling you this crucial truth, because they are afraid of making you feel uncomfortable. Some of them will go so far as to mention that you are a sinner, but they will stop short of defining just what ‘sin’ is. They may also go so far as to tell you that because of ‘sin’, you will have to pay a ‘price’, which they may tell you is eternal separation from God. Now, if they tell you these things, well and good, but there is more that you need to know.

 

If making you feel a bit uncomfortable will motivate you to move in the direction of eternal life, and keep you out of hell, then I would rather make you uncomfortable.

 

You need to know that there is a very real hell that awaits all of those who experience the aforementioned ‘eternal separation’ from God. You need to know that this place called hell is a place of eternal (unending) torment, suffering, and anguish, and that it will never end. In other words, hell lasts forever. You need to know that if you end up in hell, that you will never, ever escape from it. You can only avoid hell by the grace of Jesus Christ, which you will learn about by taking a few minutes to read this booklet.

 

Churches like the ones I mentioned above want you to have a nice, ‘warm and fuzzy’ church experience. They are afraid that if they tell you about your sinful condition, and thus make you uncomfortable, that they will scare you away. So they avoid teaching about the subject, lest you should decide not to number yourself among them.

 

Some of you who read this have been attending such churches for years, and probably consider yourselves to be ‘Christians’, and yet you have probably never been told the most basic truth – that you are a hell-bound sinner, who will go to hell when you die, unless Jesus Christ is your Savior. ‘Jesus’ is just something you incorporated into your lifestyle, with the idea in mind that maybe He would improve your life, maybe make it a bit less bumpy; and that’s about where it ends.

 

The truth (yes, there actually is such a thing as ‘truth’) is that if you are not made aware of your sinful condition, when you die you will stand before a just, holy and righteous God, who will judge you for your sins. On that day, there will be no second chances. The time for you to learn about your sins, and to repent of them, is now, not later. You don’t know if you will even have later. For all you know, you could die before you even finish reading this sentence. Think about it. I mean – really think about it!

 

The Bible states that God created man. It states that when God created man, man was perfect, and without sin. According to the Bible, in the book of Genesis, in the first chapter, in the last verse of the chapter, when Adam, and Eve, his wife, were first created, God declared that they were ‘good’. The Bible also states that the first man, Adam, sinned against God. When Adam first sinned against God, his nature was fundamentally changed from being good, to being evil. What this means is that man’s nature changed from being one that leaned toward being obedient to God, to one that leans continually toward disobeying God, and doing man’s own will.

 

Because this first man, Adam, sinned against God, you, who are a descendent of Adam, also have a sin nature. In other words, you have a natural tendency to be disobedient to God.

 

God is perfect and holy. All who would live with Him in the hereafter must likewise be perfect and holy. Look around you. Look as long as you like, and then look in a mirror. You won’t find even one person who is perfect or holy. You may find a few who think they are, and a few more who pretend they are. But if you are honest, you will know that there is not one person on the face of the earth who is perfect and holy.

 

God’s Law (How do you measure up?)

 

Lest you should ever make the mistake of thinking that maybe you are perfect, sinless, or holy, or that maybe a few other ‘saintly’ individuals perhaps meet God’s criteria for a perfect or holy person (for example, a lot of people like to point to Mother Teresa as an example) God has given us a Law. This Law is a Moral Law. Perhaps you’ve heard of it? It is commonly known as the Ten Commandments. The Bible teaches us that by the Law we become aware of our sinfulness (Romans 3:20). This LAW reflects God’s perfect and holy character.

 

Let’s have a look at God’s Law (see Deuteronomy 5):

 

1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images.

(i.e. Don’t pray to or worship statues, paintings, crucifixes, etc.)

3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. (This includes using God’s name to curse with.)

4. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.

5. Honour thy father and thy mother.

6. Thou shalt not kill.

7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.

8. Thou shalt not steal.

9. Thou shalt not bear false witness (i.e. Do not lie).

10. Thou shalt not covet.

 

Now, that looks like a pretty strict set of laws, doesn’t it? And you know something? Even if you’ve never heard of these Ten Commandments before, you are still guilty if you’ve ever broken any of them. To put it another way, if you did not know that it is against the law to kill and rape people in a certain country, and you went there to kill and rape people, you would still be guilty of doing those horrible crimes, regardless of whether you knew about the laws of that land or not.

 

Take a minute to stop and think about it; these laws really do make a lot of sense. Ask yourself, is it really right to break them? If you’re honest, you’ll admit that it’s not.

 

The book of James (you’ll find it in the Bible), in chapter 2, verse 10 says that even if you keep all of the law, but only offend ‘in one point’, you are ‘guilty of all’.

 

So ask yourself, have you kept God’s commandments? Have you kept His LAW?

 

So, do you think you’re good? Then let’s look at just a few of the commandments (God’s Law), and see how you measure up:

 

The Bible says that you are not to lie. Have you ever lied, even just once, in your entire life? Be honest. Even little, ‘harmless’ so-called ‘white’ lies count, in God’s sight.

 

If you have lied, then you are a LIAR.

 

Have you ever stolen anything? The value is irrelevant. If you have even taken a pen or pencil that you knew wasn’t yours, or anything else, no matter how small, you are a THIEF.

 

God said you are not to covet. This means you are not ever to look at something that belongs to someone else, and wish that it was yours. You know you’ve done this.

 

God said you are not to commit adultery. Jesus Christ, who is the final Authority and Arbitrator of the Law, made it very clear where you and I stand in regard to being guilty. In the book of Matthew, chapter five, verse 28, He said that even if you only look at a woman (or man) to lust after her (i.e.: you thought you’d like to have sex with that person), then you have committed adultery with her in your heart, and stand guilty, as if you had actually done the act.

 

The Bible says that you are not to murder anyone. Jesus said that even if you are only angry with someone without just cause, you are in danger of the judgment. In fact, 1 John 3:15 states that whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and then goes on to say that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. That one pretty much covers all of us – you and me both. I do not know anyone who has never hated someone at some point in his life.

 

You only have to break the commandment once to be guilty. If you murder someone, when do you imagine that you cease to be a murderer? How long do you have to wait before you can say, “I’m no longer a murderer”? Do you cease to be a murderer ten days after murdering someone? How about in ten weeks? No? Well then – how about ten months? Ten YEARS? Do you see my point? If someone were to rape, torture, and then kill your mother or your sister, would you stop thinking of him as a murderer after a while? Of course not! Even many years later, you would still consider him a murderer. Once you’ve done the deed, you’ve done it. There’s no expiry date! You may later change your ways, but that does not erase what you already did. And so it is with all sin.

 

The Bible says that if you sin, you will die spiritually (James 5:20), unless you are converted from the error of your ways. The death referred to in this passage is eternal separation from God, and eternal punishment and torment in hell.

 

So understand that you ARE guilty before a righteous and holy God. In other words, you are a sinner. Let it really sink into your mind and heart. You need to understand this, so that you understand why you desperately need Jesus Christ, who is the only One who is able to save you and forgive your sins; for the Bible says in Romans 6:23 that the wages of sin is DEATH.

 

So this leaves us in a bit of a bind, doesn’t it? How is man, who is sinful, disobedient to God by nature, unholy, and unclean, ever to go to heaven in the hereafter, and spend eternity with a holy, perfect, and just God, who has declared that no unclean thing shall inherit His kingdom?

 

It is appointed to man once to die, and then after this, the judgment. Some day soon, you will stand before God. What will you say to Him? If He were to ask you why He should let you into heaven, what would you tell Him? If you tell Him that it’s because you were a good person all your life, then you’ve got the wrong answer.

 

Romans 3:23 tells us that all men have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God – you, me, everyone.

 

A Price Must Be Paid

 

Someone must die to pay for your sins. You may not like it, but it is a fact. God has decreed that the price for sin MUST and WILL be paid. It will either be paid by the one who commits the sin (you), or by someone else. If it is paid by someone else, then it must be paid by someone who is ABLE to pay the full measure of the price for your sins. That ‘someone’ is Jesus Christ. Romans 6:23 (quoted earlier) goes on to say that the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. It is a gift. But a gift must be received to be of any use to you. You have to make the decision to receive this gift, which is freely offered to you.

 

I mentioned earlier that there are only two places where a man will go after this life – heaven (eternally with God – eternal reward – eternal joy) or hell (eternally separated from God – eternal suffering – eternal punishment). Ultimately, it is your choice where you go.

 

It is not enough to just go through the motions, to go to church, to call yourself a ‘Christian’, etc. Going through the motions no more saves you than going to McDonald’s makes you a hamburger (Mind you, I’ve never really wanted to be a hamburger, but I digress.). You must take the step of coming to faith (really and truly believing) in Christ, truly trusting Him to save you, and REPENTING of your sins. Repenting means that you turn from your sins and begin to live a life in obedience to God’s will. As John the Baptist said in Mark 1:15, “Repent and believe the gospel”.

 

To stop short of repenting and truly trusting Christ as Savior, puts you in a very dangerous position, for you and I will one day stand before God to receive His judgment for how we lived our lives: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ.” (2 Cor 5:10)

 

In Matthew 7:21-23 we read: “Not every one that saith unto me, ‘Lord, Lord’, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day (He is referring to the day when they stand before Him to be judged.) ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works?’ And then will I profess unto them, ‘I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

 

So you see, there will be many on that day, who outwardly appeared to be followers of Jesus Christ, but in reality were not. They were just playing at ‘church’. And apparently, some of them were quite upstanding ‘Christians’. In the end though, they were only acting. They were what Jesus Christ called ‘hypocrites’.

 

You have probably seen some hypocrites on Sunday morning on your television, asking you for money, and telling you that God wants you to be ‘rich’. One of them tells people to ‘Name it and claim it!” That is, if you tell God what you want, he is somehow obligated to give it to you.

 

Such false teachers will also tell you that God will bless you if you send them money. Isn’t it interesting that most of them want you to send the money to them, instead of telling you to send it somewhere else? Many of them are counterfeit ‘Christians’ – be careful not to mistake them for true followers of Jesus Christ. However, this is not to say that all televangelists are con men. There are some good teachers, who use television as a medium to share the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ, just as I am using the medium of print. But be careful; some TV ‘evangelists’ are very deceptive.

 

You read above about the fact that someone must pay for your sins. Lest you should think that you are able to pay for your own sins, understand that the only way you can ever pay for them is by going to hell – eternally. This means unending torment in an awful hell. Why would you want to do that? Only God Himself could pay the infinite price demanded for the sins of every man. And this He has done through Jesus Christ, who paid for your sins when He was crucified in Jerusalem 2000 years ago.

 

Many of you who read this are of the mindset that you don’t want God involved in your life. You want Him to leave you alone, and let you live your life as you want to live it – “Don’t preach to me about God!” “I have my own ‘religion’!” “I don’t need God!” “Hey, just stay out of my life, God!” but you then think that you should be allowed to live with Him in the hereafter. Think again, friend. You can’t have your cake and eat it too! If you reject God in this life, you can be assured that He WILL reject you in the hereafter. To put it another way, why would you want to spend eternity with someone you spent your whole life trying to avoid? If you don’t want Him to be part of your life now, what makes you think you will want Him to be part of your life then? In heaven, God Himself will be the focus of everything.

 

And do you; you who say it wouldn’t be ‘fair’ for God to keep you out of heaven, you who say that it wouldn’t be ‘fair’ to send sinners to hell, really think it is ‘fair’ for you to expect Him to want to have you with Him when you, of your own free will, made a point of keeping Him out of your life? Fair is fair! And it isn’t ‘fair’ for you to expect Him to accept you then if you reject Him now. Nevertheless, the fact still remains that no unclean thing shall inherit the kingdom of heaven. This is an immutable fact.

 

So you, I, and everyone else on this planet, if we are not found in Christ, all stand guilty before God. But there is hope. Read on.

 

Christ paid for your sins. If you accept Christ’s payment for your sins, and REPENT of them, He is just and merciful to forgive you. And when He forgives you, it is for ALL of your sins, not just for the ones you committed in the past, as is taught by many cults and apostate churches. Many of them will tell you that you must join their own group or ‘denomination’, or you cannot be saved. If any ‘church’ or religious group ever tells you that you must join their organization to get right with God, avoid them like a plague. They will drag you down to destruction with them, if you let them. ONLY JESUS CHRIST can save you.

 

False Prophets

 

Regarding such organizations and false teachers, know this - that NO organization of men, regardless or their claims (many say they are founded by God’s only true ‘prophet’ or ‘church’ or ‘religion’, etc.), has any ability to save your soul. And none of them, regardless of their claims, have any special authority from God. No so-called ‘Pope’, no so-called ‘Prophet’, and no other man or woman who claims to have some special authority from God, can save you. In fact, the very fact that they make such claims of having special authority as God’s mouthpiece to the world should stand as a loud and clear warning to you to stay far, far away from them, for they are wolves in the proverbial sheep’s clothing. If a man makes only one false prophecy, the Bible says he is a false prophet!

 

For those of you who are members of a cult, understand this: Mary Baker Eddy cannot save you. Pope John Paul (or whoever replaces him when he dies) cannot save you. Joseph Smith cannot save you. Charles Taze Russell cannot save you. Ellen G. White cannot save you. L. Ron Hubbard cannot save you (Do I have to name more names?). Neither can any other false prophet or religion that you may be following, save you. If you follow such people, you are following blind leaders, who cannot save you, but can and will surely drag you down to hell with them, if you follow them.

 

Good News

 

If salvation was a matter of your sins only being forgiven up until the day that you accept Christ as your Savior, repent of your sins, and ask Him to forgive you, and then after that point, you are now responsible to pay for all the sins you commit thereafter, then know this; Christ would be a failed Savior. But Christ was victorious! He fully paid for ALL of your sins: past, present, and future! And God’s forgiveness of your sins is not based upon you living a perfect life, which is something that is impossible for you to do. If it were possible for you to live a perfect life, you would not need a Savior.

 

Forgiveness is based solely upon God’s unmerited grace. There is NOTHING you can do to earn it. There is nothing you can ever do to DESERVE it. But it is offered to you freely, without price, and this because God loves YOU!

 

There is a bumper sticker I once saw on a car – ‘No Jesus, no peace. Know Jesus, know peace!’ It is a very simple message, and it is also the heart of the matter. You must know Jesus Christ personally as your Savior if you are to have eternal life. You must know Him personally as your Savior if you are ever to live with Him in heaven.

 

There is only one name given whereby men may be SAVED. That name is Jesus Christ. He has promised us that if we believe in Him we are SAVED. As a Christian, I have an assurance that you - if you don’t know Jesus Christ personally as your Savior - can never understand, unless you accept Jesus Christ as the only way to salvation. I know that I am saved, according to the promises that are written in the Bible. You can know it for yourself, too.

 

There are many people in the world who are sincere people who want to go to heaven when they die, and yet don’t know about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. I was one of them. If you are one of them; then assuming that it IS possible to know you are saved, wouldn't you like to know? Well it IS possible, friend. But first, let me explain to you just why it is that God provided a way for your salvation to be made possible. I’ve laid a lot of heavy stuff on you here, and you may be wondering how you can have confidence that God actually intends to save you from your sins.

 

God Loves YOU

 

God loves you. You may have heard this before. And it is important – very important – that you understand this fact. For, if God did not love you, why would you want to be with Him in eternity? If He did not love you, why did Christ die for your sins? And why did He suffer the agony of punishment that was meant for you – the punishment that you have earned, as explained above? Again, it is because God really does love you, more than you can possibly imagine. You’ve probably seen the word ‘John 3:16’ printed on a bumper sticker, or maybe somewhere else, and maybe you’ve wondered what it was about. It is this “For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” What this means is that God loved YOU so much that He sent Jesus Christ to this world to take the punishment for your sins, so that you could avoid the penalty, the hell, which was waiting for you. God actually suffered on your behalf, so that you would not have to. Only He was capable of paying the penalty on your behalf. He did this because He knew that it was the only way you would be able to have eternal life. Romans 5:8 says “For God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

 

It is only because we who follow Jesus Christ know Him personally as our beloved Savior, and because we know that He has such great love for us, that He gave His only begotten Son to die in our place, that we are able to have such great peace, joy, and assurance of our eternal reward, which is to enjoy everlasting life with our God. And it is because we have this peace, that we print booklets like the one you are reading, with the hope that you will come to know Jesus Christ as your Savior. God wants you to have eternal life, and so do His followers. The joy we have does not come from having pleasure in the things of this world; it comes from knowing God, and knowing that He has saved us from eternal damnation (reread this booklet if you’ve forgotten why you have it coming, except that you repent of your sins and accept Christ as your Savior); and this because of His great love for us.

 

The Bible teaches us that if we belong to Jesus Christ, we can have peace that surpasses understanding, joy unspeakable, and a blessed assurance of SALVATION. Followers of the Lord Jesus Christ have that assurance! I'm talking about the hope of living with God our Eternal Father forever!

 

Come to Jesus Christ, and Him alone, and He WILL SAVE YOU! That's a promise! And HE ALWAYS KEEPS HIS PROMISES!

 

More On God’s Grace

 

And that you may be assured that God will save you, when you accept His Son Jesus Christ as your Savior, and repent of your sins, here are a few words from the Bible, which make it clear that if Jesus Christ is your Savior, you will go to heaven when you die.

 

The Bible teaches that those who believe in Christ are JUSTIFIED BY FAITH (Rom. 5:1). I know some people like to quote Paul speaking of showing his faith by his works, which is a different matter entirely. That is something all Christians are called upon to do. But nowhere does the Bible attribute our salvation to our works. Paul certainly didn't. The Bible says that good works are a MANIFESTATION (evidence) of our faith. It doesn't say that good works can SAVE us. They can’t.

 

Carefully read Ephesians 2:8-9. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the GIFT OF GOD, NOT OF WORKS lest any man should boast."

 

Carefully read the following scriptures from the Bible:

 

Here is John 3:16-18 again; "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE...He WHO BELIEVES IN HIM IS NOT CONDEMNED;" 3:36; "HE WHO BELIEVES IN THE SON HAS EVERLASTING LIFE" (not MAY have, but HAS everlasting life) 5:24; MOST ASSUREDLY, I say to you, he who hears My word and BELIEVES IN HIM WHO SENT ME HAS EVERLASTING LIFE, AND SHALL NOT COME INTO JUDGMENT, BUT HAS PASSED from death into LIFE".

 

To understand how we are saved by faith, and not by works, you need to understand the following verses as well. Please pay close attention to what Paul the Apostle says here:

 

Rom. 9:30 "What then are we to say? Gentiles, who did not strive for righteousness, have attained it, that is, RIGHTEOUSNESS THROUGH FAITH; but Israel, who DID strive for the righteousness that is based ON THE LAW, DID NOT SUCCEED IN FULLFILLING THAT LAW. Why not? Because they did not strive for it ON THE BASIS OF FAITH, but as if it were based on works. They have stumbled over the stumbling stone [Jesus Christ], as it is written, 'See, I am laying in Zion a stone that will make people stumble, a rock that will make them fall [He is referring to those who trust in their own good works, instead of faith], and whoever BELIEVES in Him WILL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME.' "

 

Rom. 3:19-28; "Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore BY THE DEEDS OF THE LAW NO FLESH WILL BE JUSTIFIED IN HIS SIGHT, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God APART FROM THE LAW is revealed [through Jesus Christ], being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST, TO ALL AND ON ALL WHO BELIEVE. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being JUSTIFIED FREELY BY HIS GRACE through the REDEMPTION THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, THROUGH FAITH, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had PASSED OVER the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one WHO HAS FAITH IN JESUS. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? OF WORKS? NO, but by the LAW OF FAITH. Therefore we conclude that a man is JUSTIFIED BY FAITH APART FROM THE DEEDS OF THE LAW [i.e. works].

 

Rom. 4:1-8; "What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by WORKS, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the SCRIPTURE say? 'Abraham BELIEVED GOD, AND IT [i.e. believing God] WAS ACCOUNTED TO HIM FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS.' "

 

Gal. 3:26-27; "For you are all sons of God THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS."

 

Eph. 2:8-9; "For by GRACE you have been SAVED through FAITH, and that not of yourselves; it is the GIFT OF GOD, NOT OF WORKS..."

 

Col. 2:13; "And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has MADE YOU ALIVE TOGETHER WITH HIM, having FORGIVEN YOU ALL TRESPASSES."

 

Heb. 10:17-18; "Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more. Now where there is remission of these, there is NO LONGER AN OFFERING FOR SIN." 'Offering' is equivalent to 'works' in this context. Those are true words of comfort for the believer in Jesus Christ. They aren’t the ‘warm and fuzzy’ words that you will hear at many churches in this land. Rather, they are the true words of life. God has promised here that He will not remember your sins. But this promise only applies to those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ.

 

1 Pet. 1:23; "...having been BORN AGAIN, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever...Now this is the word by which the gospel was preached to you."

 

Lastly, for you who will insist that your good works will save you; for those of you who insist that you will be in heaven one day, because you kept God’s holy Law, the Bible says in Galatians 2:21 “I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”

 

O you blind Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventists, and other extreme legalists, who do not recognize the liberty that Christ has given to His followers; you who would bind the heavy burden of the Law upon the backs of those who would come to Jesus Christ for salvation, and blind the eyes of others so that they can not see the plain and simple truth of the gospel – you are all blind yourselves, and you do not know it! How is it that you cannot see the plain truth of God’s word?

 

Wake up! Open your eyes! You would make of Christ a failed Savior with your false, man-made religious systems! The Bible says of you in 1 Timothy 1:7 that you desire to be teachers of the Law, but neither understand what you say, nor whereof you affirm. In other words, you are in the dark, and you don’t even know it; yet you want to teach others the Law! Go back and re-read the scriptures above, and learn the truth. Salvation is only of Christ, and is not aided by your works or mine!

 

So, in closing, how does one get saved?

 

Romans 10: 9-15 says “…if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Don’t confuse

this with the cults, who will say, “Oh, we believe Jesus rose from the dead. We believe in Him, too.” When they say this, keep in mind that they also add works to it. They don’t allow for only Christ’s work of grace to save you. They always require that you earn salvation, and do not allow for anyone to make a claim of being ‘saved’. Don’t be deceived by them.

 

Romans 10 continues… “For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed…For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” This applies to you, friend.

 

Let me ask you a few questions: Do you want to be saved from the wrath of God’s judgment? Do you truly want God to save you? Do you really want to be forgiven for your sins? Do you really want to go to heaven when you die (and die you surely will one day)? Would you like to be certain, without doubt, that when you die, you will not be sent to hell, to suffer eternally for your own sins?

 

You Must Make A Decision

 

You know something? There comes a point in your life, when you have to decide what is the right course of action to take. In the case of your eternal destiny, I think it’s pretty clear that the decision you make must be taken very seriously. I bring this up to make a point. The point is that you can’t afford to put off the day of your salvation. If you do, you might find that you put it off just a bit too long, and then it will be too late to change your mind. You have no room for excuses.

 

 

Making Excuses (The Real Issue)

 

Usually, when a person decides to put off making a decision to trust Jesus Christ to be his Savior, it isn’t because he doesn’t believe, but because he wants to go on sinning. So he makes excuses. He doesn’t want to give up the pleasures of sin! And people will come up with all kinds of excuses for why they don’t want to make the right choice. And not believing is usually not the real reason. Let me give you some examples:

 

The first example I will share with you is from Mark Cahill’s book, One Thing You Can’t Do In Heaven. Mr. Cahill relates a conversation he had with the brother of a famous basketball player, Charles Barkley. Charles’ brother Darryl told about a near death experience he had due to a heart attack:

He responded, “Absolutely not.”

“Do you want to go to heaven?”

“Yes, I do.”

“Darryl,” I prompted, “do you know what it takes to get to heaven?”

“Yes, I do.”

“What does it take?”

He stated, “Committing my heart and my life to Jesus Christ.”

“Darryl, now that you know that you are going to die and go to hell, are you ready to commit your heart and your life to Jesus Christ?”

What do you think he said? He answered, “No.”

I asked, “Why not?”

He gave the same answer most people give: “I like the things of the world more than I like the things of God.” He would rather live in sin than live for the God of this universe.

I tried to stress the seriousness of his decision by asking, “Do you realize that you will have no excuse when you stand in front of God on Judgment Day?”

He said, “Yes, I know.”

 

Cahill continues: “He told me that what he saw was no dream, but the most vivid, real thing he has ever seen. It was more real than the book you are reading or the chair on which you are sitting…his story is just one of many I have heard from people who have seen hell instead of the tunnel and white light. Some have reported seeing people standing in pits of fire, their skin melting off their bodies, then coming back on and melting off again.”

 

Another example is from a heated discussion I had several years ago with a devout atheist friend. We had been discussing the existence of God. He was getting more and more uncomfortable, as I kept showing him how the atheist’s position is absolutely untenable. It got to a point where he knew he could not defend his position, and that my argument for the existence of God was valid. So what did he do? Do you think he decided he’d like to get right with God? No sir! Instead, he jumped up (we had been sitting on the floor during our discussion.) quickly, and started shouting angrily “So what?! There isn’t a God anyway! There can’t be! But even if there is, we don’t need him! We’ve outgrown Him!” You should have seen the anger come out of this guy when he shouted these words! Man, talk about defiance! You see, in reality, the issue wasn’t the existence of God. The real issue was that he wasn’t going to allow for the possibility of God’s existence, because that would make him accountable to God. And that would mean that he would have to stop doing some things he wanted to keep doing, that God doesn’t want him to do. This was probably the most honest moment I have ever observed in this friend’s life. I wonder if he had any idea how foolish such a position is?

 

Yet another example is one related by Mike Riddle, who teaches on the subject of Creation Science, which I will deal with in another publication. Mike’s example really gets to the heart of the matter. Gathered around a table at a restaurant with several people, Mike decided to throw something into the conversation to get people thinking. He asked the question (I’m paraphrasing here), “Isn’t it amazing, that in this day of science and knowledge, that with all we’ve learned, that there are actually still people who believe in evolution?” Suddenly everyone got very quiet, as they were all evolutionists. So someone asked Mike to explain what he meant. So he went on and gave logical, reasoned explanations to show how the theory of biological evolution is unscientific and unsupportable. The people listened, and when it became very clear that no one at the table could give any kind of an argument to counter him, one woman spoke up. Her answer got straight to the meat of the matter. She said, “Your science is good. And I can’t come up with any argument against it. But I have a problem with believing in a God that I would be accountable to.” Well, she really hit the nail on the head there, didn’t she?

 

What do all three of these people have in common? Was it that they chose not to believe in God because there is no evidence? NO! They all made it very clear that they refused to believe in spite of the evidence! And one of them even admitted that he knew what his fate would be. What abject foolishness!

 

So what about you? Are you an excuse maker? Are you going to tell me that where the rubber meets the road, by and by, you are just going to go on the way you always have? Can you really tell me that when you stand before God; and can you really tell me that when you are suffering the torments of hell – eternally, with no hope at all of ever having any relief – that at that time, it will have all been worth it? Come on! You KNOW that it won’t! You KNOW IT!! So don’t make excuses! NOW is the time for you to repent and serve God.

 

“Ah. Come on, Al. You’re just trying to scare me into heaven!” You bet I am! If that’s what it takes, then so be it. I would rather have you scared enough now to make the right decision, than to lose you to a fate far worse than you or I are capable of imagining. And don’t forget, we’re talking about eternity here, friend.

 

What The Devil Doesn’t Want You To Know

 

I believe that the devil desperately wants to keep you in the dark regarding a few key things. I believe that the first thing he wants to do is to convince you that there is no God. If he can do that, then he’s got you right where he wants you. After all, if there is no God, then there is no reason to change your ways. And if there is no God, then there is no SIN, and no need for a SAVIOR. Think about it.

 

If the devil can’t convince you that there is no God, then he will try to convince you that you don’t need God. He’ll try to get you to believe that you’re good enough just the way you are. God is love. And a loving God would never send you to an awful hell, right? Wrong! Go back and re-read this booklet if you still aren’t clear on why God will send unrepentant sinners to hell.

 

If the enemy of your soul can’t deceive you into believing either of the first two lies, then he’ll try to get you to believe that you have to earn your salvation by some man-made system of works, by joining a cult or religion that requires you to do enough good deeds to balance out your sins. This of course leaves you with no hope, as you quickly learn in such systems that you can never, ever be good enough to merit salvation.

 

And then of course, there is always the tactic of getting you to put off this whole ‘God’ thing. You can always deal with it later. You’re having too much fun right now. So why bother? Just eat, drink, and be merry! Worry about dying later.

 

Well friend, it really doesn’t matter which of these lies Satan uses to get you off track. He will use any or all of them, and many others, if it means keeping you out of heaven! You see, Satan (the devil) knows that he is doomed. He knows that he will be spending all of eternity in hell. And he knows there is no turning back for him! He made that decision a long time ago. And he wants to take as many of us with him as he can! Satan hates you more than you can possibly imagine. And he would very much hate for you to go to heaven, and escape the fate that is in store for him, and all the people he can deceive into following him into hell. He will take YOU to hell with him if he can – if you let him! So don’t let him!

 

In case you are wondering just who it is that will follow Satan into hell, the bible makes it very clear. The following words are like a mirror that you can hold up and look into. Do you see yourself here? “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.

 

“but the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Rev 21:8

 

A Quick Look At the awful finality of Hell

 

The following account was written by Dennis Rabineau. I think Dennis did a pretty good job of describing something of the awful finality and horror of hell. So I’ll share it with you here.

 

Your first 6 days in hell

Most vacations include an itinerary. You have an idea what you will see and do before you arrive at your destination. The Bible has enough information to project an itinerary for those whose destination is hell. Let's look at the first 6 days.

DAY 1

The trip originates at the gate of death. Since departures are made daily, you are called upon to begin your trip on short notice. Since the journey is only one way, there is no need to concern yourself with return plans.

Your initial point of departure may prove more than a little frightening, as you suddenly realize the finality of your destination. The trip itself will leave you with little time to contemplate what awaits.

As you pass through the doorway of death, you will notice almost immediately that your direction is taking you away from the light toward what appears to be complete and utter darkness. With each passing moment the darkness becomes more intense. At first the absence of light is only annoying, but you feel it becoming more ominous and threatening.

The intensity of the darkness is only matched by the absence of any joyful sounds-no music, no laughter, no sounds of merriment. As you move farther, faint sounds of moaning and wailing become detectable. They seem to be coming through the darkness from every direction. You become aware of a faint light. it flickers like a flame, yet thick clouds of black smoke dance all around it, keeping the flame from casting off any real hope of light.

Suddenly you find yourself obsessed to know what day and hour it is. Already it feels like you've been here for an eternity ... and it's only Day 1.

DAY 2

The continuing darkness is stifling. It's as if something is lurking in the veil of night that surrounds you. You yell, you threaten, you even plead, but to no avail. Whatever it is just stays there, producing fear like you've never known before.

As your eyes struggle to adjust to the dark, you become aware of a new sensation. The heat. It's right at the edge of unbearable. Hot, searing, intolerable heat. Your body craves water. You'd give anything for a drink, and you try unsuccessfully to push that desire out of your mind.

The air is thick, choking, miserable ... and it's just Day 2.

DAY 3

At least you think it's Day 3. It seems like it has already been forever. You've not been able to sleep.

You still can't believe you're here. Where are the friends you thought you would see? The knowledge that they would be here too had brought you some comfort in your lifetime. Where is the fun you thought you would have? It isn't at all like what you were led to believe.

You stumble upon a group of others. You pour out a litany of questions. As they open their mouths, no words come out ... only the sounds of weeping and wailing. Some in the group don't even try to respond. They gnash their teeth, as if in some invisible pain.

You wonder when this nightmare will end. You wonder why somebody can't make it stop ... and it's only Day 3.

DAY 4

How you wish you could send a message to those you left behind. You'd warn them about this place. You'd tell them what it's really like, so they'd never come. The thought of your loved ones coming to a place like this is unbearable. You can't help but think back upon that day when you made your decision to come here. You understood that your rejection of Jesus meant that you would spend eternity in hell but it didn't seem real or important then.

Looking back, you think how foolish you were to reject God's offer of salvation. You wish you could choose again.

You find yourself hoping that your loved ones will choose differently, even though you realize such a choice means you'll never see them again ... never touch them ... never speak to them. What a horrible realization ... and it's only Day 4.

DAY 5

You've become acutely aware of the absence of any good in this place. There's no love, for God is love. There's no joy or peace or goodness, because all of these come from God too. There's nothing sacred, nothing holy, nothing of God anywhere to be found. You're amazed at how evil evil can be.

For the first time since your arrival, you begin to sense the great gulf that is fixed between where you are and where God is. The span is beyond your comprehension as you try to realize the degree of distance that will separate you from God and those who chose to serve Him. God is on the other side of that gulf. Loved ones in Christ are on the other side of that gulf. What a lonely realization ... and it's only Day 5.

DAY 6

Through the darkness you saw a new face today. A new arrival. He stopped to speak with you. You could see the terror in his eyes. He asked questions that you had been asking only days before. You opened your mouth to reply, but all that would come out was the sound of weeping and wailing.

You've just spent your first 6 days in hell. Unfortunately, an unholy, unhappy eternity stretches out before you ... and all because you rejected Jesus. if only....

But wait. The fact you're reading this says you still have a chance. in His mercy, God is giving you an opportunity right now to change your eternal itinerary. "Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Acts 2:2 1).

Oh, friend, do it now ... before it's too late.

 

That was pretty heavy, wasn’t it? And do you know something? Jesus Christ spoke a lot more about hell than He did about heaven. You probably didn’t know that. As for what heaven is like, we know that it will exceed our fondest, dearest hopes or dreams. But we can’t really comprehend the splendor of it. Suffice it to say that whatever you may have imagined about heaven, and what it may be like, the bible says that it will be far, far better than that. But you will never go there without Jesus Christ washing your sins away with His blood. Whether you go to heaven or hell will be a matter of choice. I can only hope that I’ve put a fear and loathing of hell into you, so that you may choose to avoid it. Hell is indeed real. Remember that.

 

With that in mind, what is to become of us? Well friend, that’s where the grace of Jesus Christ works for all who repent of their sins, and trust in Him, for the passage in Corinthians continues, “And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Cor. 6:11

 

You know what to do now. So do it. You need to get saved, or you will share the same fate as those mentioned in the verses above.

 

One last thing before we move ahead: Some of you may be reading this, and thinking that I imagine that I am somehow better or holier than you. Well, you can stop right there, friend. I entertain no such notions. I have done many of the things listed in the bible verses I quoted to you earlier; and I surely have earned hell’s vengeance many times over, just as you have. I had to take the same step that I am now going to ask you to take. That is – repent of your sins, and give your life to Jesus Christ. Do it now. Don’t put it off.

How To Get SAVED

 

This is what you must do: You must believe on Jesus Christ, whom God sent to pay for your sins with His blood, which was shed by Christ when He died on a cross. You must trust Him to save you from them. You must repent (turn away from) of your sins – really turn away from them. Ask God to help you do this. Ask Jesus Christ to come into your life, to be your Savior, and to forgive your sins. The next few paragraphs will explain how to do this.

 

If you really want God to forgive you and save you, then get on your knees and pray the following prayer (It doesn’t matter if you’ve never prayed before. It doesn’t matter if you say, “I don’t know how to pray.” Prayer is talking to God. It is expressing your innermost heart’s desires and thoughts to Him. When you pray, know that God will understand you.). Most of all, when you pray this prayer, understand that you must mean what you are saying, and mean it more sincerely than anything you have done or said before in your entire life.

 

If you decide to pray the prayer below, then understand something: this is too important for you to just casually think the following words as mere thoughts, or as a ‘silent prayer’. Get on your knees, and humble yourself before God, and pray these words out loud. You are praying to the King of the entire universe. This is the most important thing you will ever do in your entire life. Let it show in how you pray the following prayer.

 

Pray the following with all your heart:

 

“Oh Lord God, I know that I stand guilty before you. I know that I am a sinner, for I have broken your holy laws. I know that I deserve to go to hell for my sins. I know that if I were to die today, and stand before you to be judged for my sins, I would stand condemned, and would be sent to hell. I know that this would be fair and just.

 

“Dear Lord, I am truly sorry for breaking your laws. Please have mercy on me. Please forgive my sins. (Name them, as best you can. And tell God how you feel about the wrong things you’ve done in your life.)

 

 

“Lord God, I believe that Jesus Christ died in my place. I believe that He died because of my sins, and to pay the price for my sins, by His holy blood being shed on the cross. I know that He is the only way to salvation. I know that after He was crucified, He rose from the dead, and has power over death and sin.

 

“Please wash away my sins, by applying the shed blood of Jesus Christ to them; for I know that there is no other way that I can be saved. I now understand that there is nothing that I can ever do to be ‘good enough’ to go to heaven on my own merits. Help me to repent of my sins, and live a life that is obedient to your will. Help me to serve you from now on, instead of seeking to do my own will.

 

“Oh Lord. Thank you for loving me so much that you sent Jesus Christ to save me from my sins by suffering the punishment for them that I should have suffered. Thank you for your mercy.

 

“I believe your word, oh God. And I will trust you from now on to be my God, and I will follow Jesus Christ for the rest of my life. For I know that He alone is worthy to be followed and trusted, and worshipped. I believe that your word is trustworthy, and that even as you have promised in the Bible, as I accept Jesus Christ to be my Savior, you are just and merciful to forgive my sins, and save me from them. And I believe your word, where you said that you will make me your own child when you save me. So I know that you are my Heavenly Father, and that I can now call you ‘Father’.

 

“So, Father in heaven, thank you for saving me today from my sins. Thank you for saving me from the eternal suffering and punishment of hell. Thank you for saving my soul. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for showing me that I am a sinner who needs a Savior, and for showing me that Jesus Christ is the only one who can save me.

 

“I pray to you, oh Lord, and thank you for your mercy, in the mighty name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.”

 

After praying the prayer above, the next thing you should do is to find a group of Bible believing followers of Jesus Christ, and fellowship with them regularly. Get baptized to show your commitment and obedience to God. If you truly repent of your sins, and trust Jesus Christ to save you, He will save you. It really is that simple.

 

You should also get a Bible. I recommend the King James translation. The English in it is a bit older than what you may be used to, but it is a very good translation, and you will get used to the older style of English very quickly, if you make any kind of an effort to do so.

 

The King James Translation is not the only good translation, but it is probably the best one available today, as far as accuracy is concerned. I have not been able to find a better one. Some of the more modern English versions do not accurately translate what the Bible says in the original languages (Hebrew and Greek) that it was written in. Many of them intentionally leave out very important passages and verses from the Bible, as if the translators thought they were at liberty to remove part of God’s word from the text.

 

You should also pray to God every day. Prayer is vital to your relationship with God. Without it, you will grow distant from God, and will eventually fall back into a lifestyle that is rebellious to God.

 

It is also important to understand that as a follower of Jesus Christ, you cannot just go on living any old way you please. God expects you to do the very best you can to keep His commandments, and not just brush them off casually. Many people who call themselves ‘Christians’ are anything but Christians. As I mentioned above, going to church is not what makes a person a ‘Christian’, just as going to McDonald’s does not make you a hamburger. You must be converted and truly believe in Jesus Christ. You must believe that He died to pay for your sins. You must believe that He was resurrected (that He rose from the grave, and lives forevermore), and has victory over sin and death. And you must confess it with your mouth.

 

Those who truly are Christians will do what Jesus Christ taught. For as Christ said, not everyone that saith ‘Lord, Lord’ will go to heaven, but only those who do God’s will. Keep this in mind when you feel tempted to slip back into your old lifestyle, or when you start to think that maybe you are living a good enough life to make it into heaven on your own merits. God’s will is for you to believe on Jesus Christ, whom He sent into this world, that everyone who believes on Him might be saved. It is for you to decide that you want to be one of those who He saves, and take the step of trusting Him.

 

Remember - stay away from any group that tells you that you must join only with their organization to inherit eternal life. I reiterate this because it is so important. I spent 13 years in a cult, believing that the organization I belonged to was God’s one true ‘church’. Little did I suspect that I could not have been more wrong.

 

I urge you to take all of the above quoted scriptures to heart. You will never find salvation through works. You will never find salvation through a man made organization. You will ONLY find it through Jesus Christ.

 

Your works – your good deeds, cannot save your soul. Only Jesus can. If you want peace of mind, come to Jesus Christ ALONE. You'll never know what real peace is until you do so. I hope you won't wait until it is too late.

 

I truly hope you will choose to believe and trust Christ to be your Savior. I truly hope that if you have not done so yet, that you will repent of your sins – for you are a sinner, and trust the One who loved you so much that He died so that you could live with Him forever, without end. To that end, I have written this short document; because for all I know, it may be the only time anyone ever has, or ever will tell you that you are a hell bound sinner, who is desperately in need of a Savior. You see, I want to see you in heaven. I want you to know the joy and peace of knowing Jesus Christ personally as the lover of your soul. And I don’t want you to end up spending eternity in hell, which is where all who are not allowed into heaven will go. Now that you know, the choice is yours. Will you choose eternal life?

 

Let me share the following poem with you. I do not know who wrote this poem, but it gets to the heart of why I wrote the few short pages in this booklet, and why I dearly hope you will take what you have read to heart.

 

My Friend

 

My friend, I stand in judgment now,

And feel that you’re to blame somehow.

On Earth I walked with you day by day,

And never did you point the way.

 

You knew the Lord in truth and glory,

But never did you tell the story.

My knowledge then was very dim;

You could have led me safe to Him.

 

Though we lived together when on Earth,

You never told me of the second birth.

And now I stand this day condemned,

Because you failed to mention Him.

 

You taught me many things, that’s true;

I called you ‘friend’ and trusted you.

But I learn now that it’s too late,

And you could have kept me from this fate.

 

We walked by day and talked by night,

And yet you showed me not the light.

You let me live, and love, and die,

You knew I’d never live on high.

 

Yes, I called you ‘friend’ in life,

And trusted you through joy and strife.

And, yet, on coming to this dreadful end,

I cannot, now, call you ‘my friend’.

 

 

Okay, my friend. I’ve had my say. Now the ball is in your court. What will you do? You can take this message seriously, and do something with what you’ve learned. Or you can just go on living the way you have been, and ignore what I’ve told you. It’s your choice, after all. But when your life ends, and the day comes that God Himself calls you to stand before Him to give an account of your life; remember, you were warned.

 

“But though we or an angel from heaven (remember, Satan is a fallen angel), preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed…If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:8-9

 

 

So come to Christ alone, and receive the PEACE and REST only He can give you.

Some thoughts for the hardened skeptic

 

You may be one of those who will read this entire document, and be entirely unmoved - your argument being that there is no God, therefore none of what I have said in the preceding pages is relevant. If you say this, you put yourself in a very precarious, and entirely indefensible position. I do not have space to argue here at length for the existence of God. However, you will find several web site addresses listed below, which will lead you to some very good and logical arguments for the existence and identity of God.

 

Hear what one of your own (if you are an atheistic evolutionist) proponents has to say about the theory of evolution that you espouse.

 

"Evolution is unproved and unprovable. We believe it only because the only alternative is special creation which is unthinkable." Sir Arthur Keith, Physical Anthropologist and Anatomist.

 

Ah...if only they were that honest in the textbooks that they use to indoctrinate and brainwash your children! The man calls special creation ‘unthinkable’! What an utter hypocrite and a fool!! What this affirmed evolutionist is saying amounts to an admission of lying in order to cover up the fact of the existence of God! If they have to lie to get you to believe their theory, don’t you think you ought to take a second, honest look at the facts? If you care about what becomes of you after this life is over, then you know you owe it to yourself to find out the facts.

 

Who are the ones who really are pushing a religion down our throats? The EVOLUTIONISTS, that’s who!!

 

A few quick facts about the theory of evolution:

 

The trade secret of modern paleontology is the devastatingly complete absence of any transitional fossil forms whatsoever. There has never been even ONE fossil ever discovered, which one could point to as a ‘missing link’ between one animal, and the animal which it evolved into. NOT EVEN ONE!! So why do they lie to you and tell you that such fossils exist? Charles Darwin himself stated that it would take the discovery of transitional fossils to prove his theory of evolution. He further stated that in time, if no such fossils were discovered, it would show his theory to be unsupportable. And do you know what? It HAS been so shown—many, many times over!!

 

Stanley Miller’s famous experiment to try to create life’s building blocks proved beyond any doubt that life could not possibly begin on its own. I don’t have room to go into it here, but you will find more on this if you visit the websites I have listed on the following pages. The conditions which evolutionists claim must have existed for life first to form on the earth, are the very conditions which make it utterly impossible for life to ever start. Check it out for yourself.

 

The existence of polystrate fossils utterly confounds proponents of the theory of evolution. They dearly hope that you will not learn of the existence of such fossils. Polystrate fossils are generally fossilized trees, which extend through several layers of rock strata, showing that said layers could not have formed over millions, tens of millions, and especially hundreds of millions of years! Only an abject fool would hold to such a theory in light of the known existence of such fossils!

Fossilized human skeletons have been found in the supposedly 140 million year old Dakota Sandstone, which is famous for so many dinosaur bones! Man-made hammers, bells, and other similar artifacts have been found in rock and coal seams.

Ask yourself the following questions.

Can matter create itself? The obvious answer is NO.

Can nothing create something? Again, the answer is NO.

Then, how did matter get here?

There are only two possible answers; and only one answer which is supportable.

Either you will answer that God created it, which is the correct answer, or you will have to say that it has always existed, since it was never created, due to the lack of a Creator.

If you choose the second answer, you directly contradict the Second Law of Thermodynamics, which I like to call the Law of Entropy. In essence (and I don’t care whether you hold to a closed or open system argument), if matter had ‘always’ existed, then time also would have to had always existed. Since matter and energy are in a continual and never-ending state of decay, the universe should be at present in a state of complete equilibrium. This amounts to what has been called the heat death of the universe. All matter and energy would have completely broken down into their base components, all movement would have ceased, and everything would be what we could best describe as a big, grey nothingness. Look around you; this hasn’t happened. Infinite time leads to infinite decay of the elements! There is no way around this natural LAW!

The above natural law is one which evolutionists always, always, ALWAYS try to avoid. WHY? Don’t they have the facts? What are they trying to hide from you - GOD, perhaps?
