Welcome to the Northern Lighthouse! 

This site exists for the purpose of exposing the false teachings of the cults and religions of man. This site is not comprehensive in scope, nor is it intended to be. There are many sites on the internet that are much more far reaching in the depth of information they make available. This site is intended to serve as a way for me (Al Roy) to reach out to the world with my small contribution.

I aim to present the testimonies of some who have escaped from the grasp of false teachers, their teachings, and their influence. If you have come to faith in Jesus Christ, and you have a desire to share your story with others, you are invited to post your testimony here and/or send me a link to where it is posted on another web site. 

My principal focus is to reach those who are deceived by the teachings of men, and who follow men rather than God. But I also hope that I may play a part in preventing others from falling away from the truth.

I claim that Jesus Christ is the truth. All others are counterfeits. Click here to read or hear my testimony.

On this site is a section containing several discussion forums, where you may dialogue, argue (politely and respectfully), and discuss matters relating to what you believe is true and right. You are welcome to participate. You are also asked to present evidence to back up any claims that you may make, as opposed to just spouting off your opinion.

Please take some time to read or listen to at least some of the testimonies presented here for your benefit. If you wish to share your testimony on this site, please submit it to me by email, along with the name of the appropriate category. If your testimony does not fit into one of the current categories, it will be placed into the 'Other' category, until such time as it seems appropriate to create a new category. Please read the statement of faith, and submit your testimony only if you are in agreement with the statement of faith.

Note on December 9, 2006: I have just re-uploaded this website. I recently switched from XL Internet to 1 and 1 for my web hosting provider (more web space, cheaper price). So expect many broken links, especially with regards to streaming media files. Please accept my apology in advance. Life's been far busier in the past two years than I had any idea that it would be, and time has not permitted me to attend to the needs of this site. I hope to get to it in the near future, but only God knows when that will be.

A note on the scripture quotations in the left sidebar: For those of you who have believed on Jesus Christ and trusted Him to save you from your sins, death, and hell, these scriptures are there to encourage you. If Christ has saved you, He has saved you FOREVER! For those of you who have not trusted Christ to save you from your sins, and are still trying to save yourselves by your feeble efforts, please read these passages and give them honest consideration.

These scriptures are here for my own encouragement as well. Especially as one who has come out of a cult, I find that I tend to need to be reminded that He has SAVED ME as well. Seeing these promises gives me great hope, for I know WHO I have trusted!

I am always open to suggestions on how to improve this website and its content.
